Victrix has been showing off more from their upcoming Historical plastic set which is packed with Persians. Lately, they have been dropping some previews for their Armoured Archers and some of the extra options that you're going to get in the kit as well.

Armoured Persian Archers #1 - Victrix

As with a lot of the Victrix kit, the core bodies aren't that much different but with the use of loads of accessories and heads you are able to make them all look a bit more unique. You can see it here across these two standard body designs that with the use of some different action poses and an array of heads you can make some different looking warriors to make up the ranks of your army.

I like that we're not just getting a bunch of firing models within the set and we're also seeing them work on more relaxed poses too. This means you can make a dynamic looking unit where the front rank is firing whilst the back one is loading and preparing for the next attack.

Armoured Persian Archers #2 - Victrix

You've also got some soldiers in poses where it looks like they could be more suited to a skirmishing set-up. I like the idea that you could use some of these more animated bodies in order to create a really awesome force for a game with smaller unit sizes.

Finally, it looks like you can also snap up some extra defences for your Archers with the use of these Spara. So, now both your spearmen and archers can hunker down and fire from a place of relative safety.

Persian Archers With Spara - Victrix

I am, once again, impressed with the offerings that we're getting from the team at Victrix. This gives you another really nice set of Ancient troops to work with across all manner of different games that have dropped onto the market over the last few years.

Are you tempted to snap up a new Persian force when these plastics release?
