The Vashta Nerada Are Shambling Into Warlord’s World Of Doctor Who
May 12, 2017 by brennon
If you're interested in adding to the world of Doctor Who on the tabletop from Warlord Games then you might want to check out this preview for the Vashta Nerada that popped up from them this week.
The Vashta Nerada would be great for Lloyd who was looking for shambling undead spacemen! However, as a Whovian you'll probably be excited to use these when they get released alongside the Exterminate! Miniatures Game.
Exterminate is a great game which sees you battling between the Cybermen and the Daleks. You can also throw in new characters and more as you grow your collection. You can watch a video we shot with the creator at Salute above.
What do you think of the Doctor Who range by Warlord?

I like Vashta Nerada .. I like the models…..but i don’t know how many games that I would play set in “the Library” .. (I am, unfortunately one of thse annoying b@$tards that has to have aliens in their right setting or attacking for the right reason… these beautiful that they are, seem somewhat limited)
I do like the look of the cybermen vs Dalek game however but it is a bit unbalanced…. I go to one of my favorite quotes for proof …
Cyberman: You would destroy the Cybermen with four Daleks?
Dalek Sec: We would destroy the Cybermen with one Dalek! You are superior in only one respect.
Cyberman: What is that?
Dalek Sec: You are better at dying!
Cybermen play well if you have more terrain and the cards fall right for you
I really wonder what the game itself is like with such weird enemies that lack a direct attack.
Hey! Who turned out the lights.
Hey! Who turned out the lights.

I’m not familiar with the new Doctor Who, these guys look like multiple Stigs doing the Thriller video.
Not saying this is a bad thing 🙂
LOL
The actual monster would be a mere shadow … and the only way to know if they’re somewhere is if you see an extra shadow.
Within the episode (‘silence in the library’ / ‘the forest of the dead’) these guys aren’t the monsters.
They’re what’s left after the monsters are done with them and start using them as puppets.
The real creepy bit is that because of how the suits were made they start repeating whatever last sentence the victim said.
nice.
Twenty first century Dr. Who just isn’t the same. Too polished and self aware. The one thing I can say it’s got going for it is (relative to the old version) diversity in casting. If you’re not embarrassed to admit you watch it, it’s just not Dr. Who to me.
If your looking for undead astronauts in space, why not give them guns?
Found these, which are great and coulf be next stage for them

These look pretty dark, I like the horror-tone capture by the pose.
Can’t wait to pick this game up in a couple of weeks.
Considering nature of vashta nerada this is only logical way they could had turned them into miniatures.
