Vashel Goldenhand & Companions Available From Lucid Eye
February 3, 2018 by brennon
Mighty Elves are now available from the folks at Lucid Eye as they added Vashel Goldenhand & The Companions into the mix for The Red Book Of The Elf King range.
The set is looking awesome and really does show off how epic some Elves could look if you took a different look and direction with them. Here's Vashel Goldenhand in all his glory...
"Vashel's Hand Of Gold was fashioned by the Dwarf Smith Sûdersae in ages past. It was taken from The King by Vashel himself, a crime of 'Haut Heresae'. It shines with the brilliance of a thousand suns."
And, as if he wasn't awesome enough you also have The Companions, some stalwart bodyguards to watch over him.
"Companions are loyalty incarnate unquestionably offering their immortal lives to the service of their Thane. The Thane’s word is law, no Companion doubts the authority of their lord."
Very, very cool indeed and I love that we're getting all of these little titbits of information through from Lucid Eye about the lore behind these particular warriors and their kin. Once again it's nice to see this mesh of ideas from Celtic/Gallic culture brought to life on these models with some classic Fantasy tones too.
As I've said before on occasion, it's nice to see that we have Fae and Elven characters all looking like they could handle themselves in a fight rather than being little twigs!
Hopefully, we have LOTS more to look forward to from them so watch this space.
Drop your thoughts below!

With the exception of the Elf Lord´s weaponry they have an appearance of Norse warriors. That feels allright, since in that culture we have gnomes, trolls, elves and some other mythic creatures. In Iceland people have a particuarly strong relation to these.
The sword is quite “fantasy-elfy” and the shield has too much ornament on it to be a proper Norse warrior´s shield. But, friends will be friends and elves will be elves…
Can´t wait to see the first gnomes …
Ooo they are fantastic looking figures.
I have problems with the names of the minis, as “Golden Hands” was the name of the massage palour which was a front for an illegal brothel near where I grew up (all those infantile primary school boy museings and jokes just sprang back to mind)
