Suit Up In Your Van Saar Servo-Suit For Necromunda
September 14, 2021 by brennon
Games Workshop has previewed another very impressive-looking miniature for us in Necromunda. Van Saar get all of the nicest technology and their new Servo-suit is very impressive indeed.

Servo-suits are often used in heavy industry to operate machinery and lift materials but the Van Saar are very fond of them and so have strapped extra weapons onto them. Who wouldn't want the support of one of these suits when it comes to facing down foes in the depths of the Underhive.
Nicknamed the Arachni-rig by the gangers, this offers up a lot of firepower and up-close-and-personal might when it comes to taking on your enemies. Imagine this clanking towards you through the darkness!
House Greim Military Attaché
In addition to the big clanking Servo-suit, the gangs of Necromunda will be able to add the House Greim Military Attaché to their roster this weekend.
House Greim Military Attache // Necromunda
Armed with impressive weapons and military knowledge, they are good for drilling your gangers hard and making them more competent in the field. I really like all of the additional characters and dramatis personae that have been added into the mix for Necromunda right now. It makes me ache for the awesomeness that would be a new edition of Mordheim.
Are you going to be picking these Necromunda releases up?

Those look really nice.
The Military Attache looks nice but the Van Saar Servo-suit looks like a design stolen from… I can’t remember… Infinity maybe? Warmachine?
A little from Column A, a little from Column B and not as well executed as either.
So it’s not just my sleep deprived head making me think that it looks very similar to those designs? Thank god!
I think it’s the top heavy carapace. Paint it red and put a Khador badge on there
Getting some Doc Ock vibes off it too.
I think “inspired by” is probably what you mean. And it’s more likely inspired by a mixture of things, including anime and steampunk which is also where Infinity and Warmachine take their respective design cues from.
There’s very little in life that is truly original, everything is inspired by something that has already been done.
Looks like they used the same STC Template as the marine’s with the squishy pilot being the crumple zone?
that Servo Suit looks ridiculous.
It looks like its falling backwards and has grabbed onto that girder to stop itself falling over.
The concept art for this is much better than the mini.
It’s not just me then! It looks like it’s in the process of falling over
I love the military attache, very cool. I really like the different side of the 40k universe that Necromunda provides.
The Pressure suit is another matter. It looks like a nice design but it also looks really top heavy and also unbalanced, like it’s about to tip over backwards.
Where does the pilots legs go (or do they cut off your legs when you apply for the operating licence?)
check out the original picture on the Warhammer Community site, the pilot seems to be free walking with the servo suit over the top of them. Where as the mini has no visible legs.

Hmm would look better (and less “generic”) with the legs, I’ll have to save some plastic legs from somewhere to see if a kitbash is feasible. Looking at the slight pitting in the surface detail I’m presuming this is going to be a Forgeworld release (rather than in plastic) so it’s not going to be cheap and harder to do any conversion work on. It’s hard to see on the preview images on “where” the sculptor has actually put the legs (although basic human anatomy isn’t one of GWs strengths when it comes to designing minis), who knows they might… Read more »
Ah, I can see what’s going on now. It’s a bad photo because it’s left leg is extended backwards and is hidden from view
ahhh right, so the thing gripping the girder is a servo arm, and its actually running. The servo arm is dragging it forward across terrain rather than grabbing it to stop itself falling.
That makes more sense! Yeah totally its a bad photo.
if its got 4 servo arms and two normal arms plus two legs, I kinda dig it.
I am sure a 360 spin around will give us a much better look at this.
Lol the original art looks like them things to carry kid’s around.
CB really dropped the ball with this infinity release, not up to their usual standard :c
