Vampire Lords & Lumineth Spirits For Warhammer: Age Of Sigmar
January 23, 2021 by brennon
Warhammer: Age Of Sigmar will be getting more Lumineth Realm-lords miniatures and bloodsuckers throughout the first portion of 2021. Games Workshop is set to introduce a new spirit and demi-god to the Lumineth with Sevireth, Lord Of The Seventh Wind.

Part kitsune/fox and part...antelope (?), Sevireth is a new ally for the Lumineth Realm-lords as they seek to put Nagash back in his box and seal away the power of Death that has seeped into every corner of The Mortal Realms.
Sevireth is another quite wild miniature for an already wild and off-the-wall faction. Again, we're seeing influences here from Far Eastern and Middle Eastern myth and legend which is nice and certainly makes a change from the norm.

I am certainly more onboard with this miniature compared to some of the other offerings we've seen for Warhammer: Age Of Sigmar over the past few years and I think it will be a neat addition to an already impressive army of Aelves. Let's put it this way, they are going to be the most extravagant-looking army at your gaming club if nothing else.
Lumineth Realm-lords Teaser Trailer
This is just the start of the offerings for the Lumineth Realm-lords and the trailer above gives us a few more hints as to what's coming beyond what was previewed this week. The Mortal Realms has really given Games Workshop a chance to experiment and I like that they are pushing the design envelope with their ranges. I might not always agree with their decisions but in the main, I think they've done a good job fleshing out a burgeoning Warhammer range.
New Battletomes & Lore Moments
All of this feeds into the next step for The Mortal Realms and the Broken Realms series. Broken Realms: Teclis, is the next book in the series...
Broken Realms: Teclis // Warhammer: Age Of Sigmar
This book details the next steps for The Mortal Realms as the other gods begin to take their anger out on Nagash for the Necroquake and his play for power. Teclis has decided that enough is enough and he is going to be using his exceptional skills with magic to give Nagash what for!
As well as the new Broken Realms book, the Daughters Of Khaine are going to be getting themselves a new Battletome which updates the options available to Morathi in the wake of her own power play.
Daughters Of Khaine Battletome // Warhammer: Age Of Sigmar
The artwork is certainly very cool for this Battletome and it shows off the wild and rage-filled nature of the Daughters Of Khaine when they hit the battlefield. Apparently, they are one of the most collected armies in the whole of Age Of Sigmar so it's neat that they're getting another book packed with options and Endless Spells.

Why rely on daggers and arrows when you could also bring the raw power of Khaine to the tabletop instead? As was pointed out this weekend, I can see a lot of people taking that blood-snake and turning it into a monstrous mount for one of their heroes. It has a lot of conversion possibilities tied to it!
The Crimson Court
We cap things off with a look at The Crimson Court warband for use in Warhammer Underworlds.

All of the Warhammer Underworlds warband sets are a lot of fun to tinker with and give you a taste of the armies from the wider Mortal Realms. The Crimson Court is no different with a cadre of four powerful heroes for use in this skirmish board game.
The Crimson Court // Warhammer Underworlds
Each of the miniatures here draws on an element of The World That Was with characters that wouldn't look out of place serving on the battlefields of The Old World. There is plenty of Von Carstein in their design but with a lot of "new" which tie them into Age Of Sigmar.
Much like with the existing Warhammer Underworlds collection, I could see these being a lot of fun to paint and I bet they will be the start of a new army of Soulblight for a lot of folks.
Are you tempted by these new Aelves and Vampires?

They’ve destroyed the new elves range. On the other hand, the vampires are incredible.
Really? I think the new spearmen and archers and horse Cavalry i.e. the bulk of the army, are absolutely superb, far better than old ones. The monsters? Well, monsters have always been slightly polarizing.
Agreed to a small degree… True for Spearmen and basic Cavalry. Archers are silly, hammer infrantry/cow helmets just dumb. I refuse to discuss heroes and monsters, though I did like Light of Eltharion model. And it seems soon we’ll have a look at new version of swordmasters (though sneak peek shows some stupid hats). I think if these design choises were realised as something new, not as a re-imagining of High Elves, it would be less controversial.
Also, it might just be me, but the whole range seem to reek of Magic: the Gathering white spells aesthetic…
The best way to protect your IP is to make something look so silly no one would copy it. Pretty much the case with the new elves. As mentioned, the rank and file infantry and cavalry are OK, but the price!
Having said that, I like the vampires, but there’s far better these days on Etsy… for a lot less. GW seems to be falling further behind the pack all the time.
Exactly true.
Those Vampires are stunning. Exactly what I want for a Vampire Warband.
I think they have mist the mark with the elves in the name of originality.
You mean in the name of IP protection…
Probably!
I’m saying it: G’Wullus sculptors are sniffing to many drugs…
That big vampire with the giant mace! Not much movement in the model but so powerful nevertheless.
Edit: I’ve been thinking: perhaps, in line with the Exodites, the Lumineth should be referred to as the Marmites. Love them or hate them.
You’ve got that right; I haven’t seen this much whinging since the Primaris space marines were introduced.
The vampires are great and I personally don’t see anyting AoS on them, they would have fit perfectly in a Vampire Counts army back in the day.
The forx thing, I’m not so sure about that.
Love those Vamps and the middle spell would work as a monster on the tabletop. But that Fox thing, oh dear.
I love the bloody snake, That lord figure looks very fragile.
Those vampires are amazing – astonishing even! Elegant, not over the top but holding a good amount of detail.
The Lumineth Realm-lords continue to be an utter embarrassment.
Ah one more new cow elf. That vampire warband looks really good. I think I have found my warband fro Underworlds.
Still can’t find anything positive to say about the Lumineth!
The vampires are great and i’ll see if i can add them to my Nighthaunts army as allies!
I really like 3 vampires out of 4 (the winged one, not so much), really cool.
But pretty please, don’t ask me anything about that over the top thing over there.
Oh come on, where’s my flame canon g@dam!t
I’ve just started work on Daughtes of Khaine army and will probably get the faction tome, but I don’t like the paint jobs on the endless spells… too much red.
Yes… I know that blood is their thing, but the snake looks like I painted it with a spray can and thought ‘that will do!’… similar with the other endless spells. too much blood.
It will be a bloody good year : D
These guys make that other leaked vampire soulblight lord look like an early concept.
Big day of releases that typifies their current situation: continuing to misfire with new made-up AoS forces that not enough people care about to bother with in the first place, followed by exciting fantasy releases for side games that actually fill out their sales on the ICV2 list. And then more of the never ending 40K content churn that’ll sell out within a week.
Wow the vampires! I love them… They are a lot of Styles from nosgoth (legacy of kain saga) and feels very good for aos style
The elf?… Mehhhh they looks like korean fantasy mmorgh… They stinks and is dad, because i like the world with the others aelves factions
Bang on! Didn’t GW say they want to expand into Central/Eastern Asian markets?
Orrukzilla Will be more cool
I’ve said it on other posts and and I’ll say it here again. I’m glad GW is being daring, going outside the stale box with their elf range. It’s not my aesthetic, but its a breath of fresh air. I see that creativity with the daughters of Khaine, whose spells look absolutely AMAZING by the way. Crimson Court looks good as well, not as much flair, but I dig the designs, Gorath looks like an absolute stoic brute.
The lumineth releases shown/teased look really good. Bit spindly but so are 90% of non-marine models these days. Love how they branched out into different themes instead of sticking to one-note stuff like Fyreslayers or Ironjawz. The vampires are fine, bit bland but oh well, they’re just vampires, they stopped being cool in 2005.
