Unlock Mementos Creating Nostalgic Patterns With That Old Wallpaper!

If you are a fan of creating patterns with tiles and cards, like those in Azul, Cascadia and Calico. Folding into patterns and creating visually appealing images will always be a staple Sunday practice for me when engaging in my fluffy-sock board game bonanza during the weekend.

AEG caught my eye last week with their announcement of Ready Set Bet, and this week they have announced another title also coming this summer. Brining pattern and design to the forefront of card-drafting, players will be taking to memories of their own walls for That Old Wallpaper.

2-5 players will be racking their brains to remember what once hung on the walls of their house. Which wallpaper hugged the room, being witness to fond memories. They will be set to the task to create patterns with their wallpaper cards, unlocking unique mementoes and crafting shapes and colours which unlock points. Whichever player has successfully made the most progress in creating the highest scoring section will be crowned the winner.

As players search through their Hazy Memory, each memento from their past will help them rake in points towards their winning their wallpaper canvas challenge.

The game is set to release alongside Ready Set Bet, on August 19th. And can take roughly 15-30 minutes to play through - depending on how many of you are around the table. But you can find That Old Wallpaper up for pre-order across many FLGS and online.

I every so often remind my mum of the choices of wallpaper she made in our house growing up. Yellow and royal blue wallpaper with lemons on? That one is better off left in the past and only used as a reminder for ridicule!
