Puppets War Unleash More Wild Beasts Onto The Fantasy Football Pitch
February 28, 2017 by brennon
If you like your Fantasy Football players with a bit of a wild side then the next two previews for Puppets War might be right up your alley. See what you think of their Rat Ogre and Minotaur designs.
While they are effectively based on the same pose, which is a shame, I do like the look. It leads me to believe that they might be component kits which will just allow you to switch out heads and other accessories to match your needs.
Of the two of them, I really like the Minotaur. They can sometimes look exceptionally goofy (see some of the later Games Workshop incarnations) but this one looks like he has a serious case of the 'I want to beat you ups' about him.
What do you think of their offerings?

The minis look okay, but yes, the “heads and tails” swap does make them kind of ‘samey’. It is not my favourite pose either (more of a creeping up pose than a charging pose)
It is fine for the use, though. I mean, you can’t use them both on the same Blood Bowl team, so having them look samey isn’t really a problem.
Absolutely love that Puppets are doing more Bloodbowl stuff – it was their Ork team which ogt me buying minis again last year.
But regards this model – this is the same pose they’re using for their ogre, and while the Minotaur head looks decent with hefty weight and musculature – I feel like the anatomy is a bit too humanoid for a what I want from a ratling.
I think the minotaur look the best.
Minotaur version is easily better of two while Rat Ogre version leaves me cold.
The heft of the body looks more in line with the Minotaur and the head of the Rat Ogre seems out of proportion to the body.
