Ulf The Quarrelsome Charges Into Battle From Footsore
June 21, 2015 by brennon
Ulf The Quarrelsome, supposed brother of Brian Boru of Irish nobility, is coming along nicely from Footsore Miniatures. You can see him here with wild hair and beard charging towards the enemy...
The original model was going to have a spear as his weapon of choice but they changed their minds and gave him a sword instead. If he's going to be more of the heroic type then I think he certainly deserves a sword considering their almost mythical properties during the Dark Ages.
I think he makes a great hero and despite the fact that he's Brian Boru's brother he could also lead other armies into battle too I reckon.
What do you make of Ulf?

And swords where THE high cost high status weapon of the dark ages
Very nice mini as well
If you followed Footsore Miniatures on Twitter, the sculptor (Thornhill) posted pics. of his step by step progress as he was sculpting this Miniature. It was very interesting to see Ulf the Quarrelsome take shape.
I have a few from back in his Musketeer days
Nice model and undoubtedly I will picking one up when released. If the stories were true as to what he did to Brodir Quarrelsome is a bit of an understatement.
