TTCombat Takes On The Relics World From Tor Gaming
September 5, 2017 by brennon
TTCombat is fast becoming the saviours of a lot of games at the moment as they announced they were now the new owners of the world of Relics, created by Tor Gaming.
They believe that they have the platform, with existing games like Rumbleslam and Carnevale, to give Relics and home and get it distributed to the right stores and bring the world to life.
In working alongside the existing designers they are going to be creating new content and updates for the world as well as breathing life back into the existing selection of models, factions and rules available.
It will be good to see Relics heading back to the tabletop and hopefully, the relationship brings new blood to this game too.
Are you happy with the news?

I ordered a load of relic bits and bobs the day before I read that the company was closing shop, so i’m happy to hear its not completely bad news.
Cool to see Relic gets a second lease on life. I just hope this buying IP strategy will keep working for TT Combat. I hope they don’t spread themselves too thin to support all these bought up games.
I wonder if TT Combat have any terrain plans for this?
One more for the consolidate games – the dealer workshops taking over
Great news, if Carnevale is anything to go by. The way TTC have gone about bringing new life to that game has meant that it has finally taken off at our club.
The Wargamming world is certainly a better place with Relics in it.
Awesome news, I was hoping someone would pick it up! The miniatures are so different.
I really like that TT Combat is picking up these great games and giving them another chance, I just wish they had better distribution in the USA. Ordering their stuff costs big on shipping and there is really only one place that carries some of their lineup or games and terrain.
…so now it is up to Wayland games’ miniatures company Warcradle (which they should have called “Yutani Corp.”) to pick up the Spartan games assets.
Funnily enough I went to the Wayland games centre at the end of last year and was surprised by the amount of Dystopian Wars stuff on display.
yes , but that is Southend in general , dystopian…..
I could see wayland picking up dystopian wars and just using the models and writing new fluff to join it into WWX as a mass battle that wouldn’t compete with the current 30mm minis
it seems the one thing everyone agrees on about spartan is that the models are excellent. Would be a pity if they are to be lost to time.
It’s great news about Relics and look forward to seeing what TTCombat will bring to an already great game.
