Trish Carden’s Vengesour The Treeman Defends The Marshes
July 25, 2023 by brennon
Trish Carden's HarrowHyrst collection expands once more with the introduction of a new Treeman to the range. You can head down to the woods and see if you can avoid the twisting branches of Vengesour!
Vengesour The Treeman // HarrowHyrst
Vengesour has been designed as a foul-tempered and vicious Treeman that might have been angered by those that threaten his realm. He now stalks along the edge of the Grimpenmire Swamp and lashes out at any travellers who get too close. He takes great delight in watering the swamp with the blood of his foes and is as far away from Treebeard as you could be I reckon!
Vengesour, The Treeman (Rear) // HarrowHyrst
You could see this particular miniature lurching out of the undergrowth, its twisting limbs boggling the mind as it stretches forth to rip and tear. So many little details have been worked into the sculpt by Trish and it should be fun seeing how different people bring this to life. Trish has been painting her own copy of Vengesour as well!

Make sure to keep an eye out over on Trish's Facebook to see if you can spy the finished project. Sitting on a 6omm round base, this fellow is quite the creation and could find its way into all manner of Oldhammer-style games and perhaps a few new ones too. I could see this being a deadly beast to come up against in a game like The Doomed for example.
Will you be adding Vengesour to your collection?

Calling that a treeman is a bit of a stretch… a wood monster? log construct? Dried up sea star? XD
Wood Gollum?
There’s an interview with Trish on the Painting Phase. I came across it too late last night but I’ll be taking a look
It’s a great interview – well worth sticking on whilst you do some hobby.
Does it have a head?, because I can’t see one. The details are great though. Trish Carden is always great when it comes to sculpting monsters.
There’s no particular reason for Treants or Ents to be anthropomorphic I guess. Having one starfish shaped is a good call as far asxI am concerned.
Heavy plant crossing ?
