Another wonderful Dwarven character has taken shape from the folks at Durgin's Paint Forge. This time, they're heading out to bring down big beasts with the Hunter of Erdraz.

Hunter of Erdraz (Front)

This fascinating character is a Dwarf on a mission. Hunting big game that's decidedly bigger than him he appears to have taken down a few drakes in his time. I love that he's tinkered with that harpoon gun which he uses to bring his foes closer so he can set his dog on them.

When you see characters like this brought to life you can immediately imagine their story. He was most likely an engineer who decided to use his skills to hunt down the drakes that threatened his kin.

Hunter of Erdraz (Side #1)

Using parts of the beasts he's killed he now cuts a fearsome form and I imagine folks want to hear his stories when he enters a tavern.

Hunter of Erdraz (Side #2)

I love that he has his dog with him too, a loyal mutt that has probably seen just as much conflict as he has. While he might be a bit porky I bet he can savage a beast at the best of times.

Hunter of Erdraz (Rear)

The detailing across the armour, cloak and weapon is fantastic and I especially like the subtle scales and scarring on the back of his beast cloak. Whether or not this carries over into the final sculpt is something we'll have to wait to see.

What do you think of the Hunter?

"He was most likely an engineer who decided to use his skills to hunt down the drakes that threatened his kin..."
