Titan-Forge Dig Deep With Their Steel Miners
February 1, 2016 by brennon
Why dig holes yourself when you could just get a big steampunk robot to do it for you? That's the thinking behind these Steel Miners by Titan-Forge for their Metal Beards army. If you're looking to mine the mountain hollow then these folks will do so in no time...
As you can see these are large mechanical constructs armed with massive drills for mining out the walls of mountains. Those Dwarven engineers have been very busy in their workshops.
You can make ten of these models from the kit you get meaning that you have a variant unit of Miners to use in your games, whatever that might be. I don't think that I would have painted them up in such light colours however as it makes them look more futuristic than I imagine was intended.
Alternatively this does also mean they might work for your futuristic games as well as Fantasy.
What do you think?

Agreed on the colour scheme – if it weren’t for the Titan Forge logo I’d have thought these were new minis for Mantic’s Forgefathers.
I’d definietly love to see these models in a darker/grittier scheme, the models are pretty cool and fun.
Probably could be used for warpath! Definitely consistent with their space dwarves…
I certainly agree that the colour scheme does seem rather light, but perhaps a darker one would have made it trickier to see the details?
I remember someone linking an article wrt the old white dwarfs and how the old really colourful schemes compared with the newer ones; perhaps this a slight tug at nostalgia?
