Tiger Miniatures Bolster 28mm Tudor-era Irish Collection
April 14, 2023 by brennon
Tiger Miniatures are expanding their collection of 28mm miniatures with a range of 28mm Tudor Irish for use in your games set around the time of the Border Reivers! They have some noble fellows to lead the way alongside a core of followers to help build a warband with.
Tudor Irish Mounted Warlord - Tiger Miniatures
The lead miniature is the Mounted Warlord who you can see presented here with a Kern watching over him as a bodyguard. If you're looking to take your bodyguarding job to the next level then you can also pick up the Household Bodyguard who would have been used to keep a warlord safe in the heat of battle.

This set features three Gallowglass alongside a fellow Kern who is playing away on the bagpipes. The Gallowglass are some mean individuals to have on your side, making good use of their swords to hack through the enemy with ease. More Gallowglass can also be picked up separately if you prefer.

You'll also see that these miniatures don't come with weapons. Weapons have to be picked up from separate packs on the Tiger Miniatures webstore. They have all the bits and pieces that you need for arming your various warriors of the period.
One of my favourite sets from the collection is the Wolfhandler their Wolves that can be unleashed on the battlefield to chase down those that are fleeing.

If you're seeking more miniatures, a whole host of Kerns are also available including a bunch of different Kerns armed with different weapons and in various poses. You've also got a band of Bonnaght if you would like to snap them up as well.
Have you had a look at the Tudor Irish and the wider collection from Tiger Miniatures?

I wish makers of metal minis would do a wash on their pure mini photos. There is so much detail lost when taking pictures of “just metal” minis when you are not a pro photographer. :S
Aaagh the last one’s the thing.?
