Thirteen New Kits & Shadowkesh Preview From Dreamforge!
January 23, 2015 by brennon
A mass of new miniatures are coming your way for Dreamforge in both 28mm and 15mm. See what you think of this rather massive haul of models for the Eisenkern range...
That's a lot of guns, armour and flare coming from the Eisenkern. While there is of course a basis and background for the units here it's good to think about how they'd work in different worlds too, namely things like Warhammer 40,000. A lot more alternatives to pick from there Warren? Big fan of the Valkir Support Troopers when looking at them as a whole...
As well as the 28mm stuff Dreamforge have also added some more to their 15mm collection with the Leviathan Mortis that comes with a range of different options for its arms too.
Phew, but that's not all from Dreamforge. As well as the Eisenkern and the Leviathan they've also previewed one of the upcoming races for the Iron Core universe in the shape of the Shadokesh...
These warriors are 9' tall aliens that are brutal and efficient on the battlefield. I love the design as it stands with some very cool weapons on offer in the shape of those scythe-type weapons. Hopefully it's a bit like a Goa'uld weapon and will have a blaster of some kind in one end.
Hopefully we'll see more of them soon. I'm more interested in seeing where they go with the alien race than they do with the Eisenkern if I'm honest!
What do you think?

😮
I have some of the regular troops – the hands are slightly small but everything else is easily on par with GW quality plastics. A true pleasure of a kit(s).
The Shadokesh look fantastic. Great piece of menacing design! Very impressed with them. I’ll be keen to get a set on release. Very very cool.
I missed the kickstarter and have been waiting for the Eisenkern APC since then as I planned on using them for my Imperial Guard, unfortunately the price tag of £45 / $65 is just too much, it makes GW look like a company with a reasonable pricing structure. It’s a real shame as I have the 28mm Leviathan Crusader and the additional weapons for them and they are fantastic kits, and very well priced. In fact the whole range is well priced up until you hit the APC where they seem to have taken a dose of the head staggers.… Read more »
You can always use Puppetswar’s ‘Brick’ APC if you really want. They’re a good price and fit the style of Eisenkern military. 🙂
I would ‘loved’ to have priced it lower but at the size of a Land Raider with a full crew and a total kit sprue count of 9- 6X8″, + a couple mini sprues I had to price it where it is.
I know what you want to use it for but its a bit of an Apple vs Oranges comparison.
Those are really good.
Hi Brennon,
“I love the design as it stands with some very cool weapons on offer in the shape of those scythe-type weapons. Hopefully it’s a bit like a Goa’uld weapon and will have a blaster of some kind in one end.”
You are correct sir 😉
Like the new figures the APC would make a good car for a Mad Max/Judge Dredd? type of game as well I think?
I’m loving that APC. While I build combat teams for a near future human and alien encounter, I’ve still got my eye on making several human factions, including an eastern block aka old Soviet style. The APC looks like a BTR-152 on steroids. And of course it also resembles the German halftrack in its many incarnations. There’s even a nebelwerfer version if you follow the links. It’s all great stuff!
I love the style!
those new alien minis look amazing 🙂
the armour and weapons look really cool 🙂
