The Third Barons’ War Kickstarter Launches 21st March
March 10, 2021 by brennon
Footsore Miniatures & Games alongside Warhost are going to be bringing the third The Barons' War Kickstarter to the funding platform on 21st March. Packed with new 28mm Medieval miniatures for Historical wargaming, this is set to be another one to dive in on.
The Barons' War - Death And Taxes // Footsore Miniatures & Games
The campaign, subtitled Death And Taxes, will introduce new characters, troops and civilians into the mix for you to use when playing their skirmish game. If the game itself interests you then you can learn more about it from the Warhost Site AND via the Footsore Miniatures & Games Webstore. We've also talked about the recent release of wave two for The Barons' War earlier in the week HERE.
Death And Taxes Miniature Previews
A few previews have already been popping up for the new Death And Taxes campaign. Quite rightly, one of them is this sneaky looking fellow!
Philippe Marc // Footsore Miniatures & Games
The High Sheriff of Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and the Royal Forests is out to bleed the countryside dry and he has plenty of henchmen who are up to the task. If only the folks at Footsore had come up with a cunning outlaw who could put this fellow to the sword?
The entire of the Marc family were known as a "bad lot" and at Runnymede clause fifty of the Magna Carta specifically called for the end of their line and the control they held over the country. Before that comes into place it might be fun to stage a few scenarios around them though!
As well as the Sheriff, we also have some rather excellent looking knights.
The Priest Of St Oswald Church - Templars // Footsore Miniatures & Games
The Priest of St Oswald Church is often the subject of rumour apparently and it seems like these Templars aren't helping to squash the questions of the locals. It would be interesting to see what these unusual guests have planned.
New Medieval Terrain
Lion Tower Miniatures have also joined forces with the team behind The Barons' War to supply a set of terrain that you can print off at home.
Village Of Wimentun // Footsore Miniatures & Games
The Village Of Wimentun should give you the perfect staging point for all manner of different scenarios. For those of you without the aid of a 3D Printer, you'll also be able to pick up physical versions which you can slap some paint on. The best of both worlds!
The board is set and the pieces are moving for this next adventure into the Medieval period. I already know plenty of folks who are very excited to see this next Kickstarter go live.
Are you going to be backing the Kickstarter?

These minis look nice
Love the terrain village the figures look great as well.
Can we blame @panzerkaput for promoting this one on discord ? 😉
I know I promised myself no kickstarters this year, but I think I might take a peek at this one when it launches, just so I can tell myself that I totally don’t need everything to play Robin Hood and his thugs against the awesome Sherrif who gets a bad rep just because they keep robbing him.
Lol
This is lovely and I cannot wait, I am knee deep in wave one and two knights and peasants and this looks even better.
