Watch Nepenthe: Things Forgotten For Para Bellum’s Conquest
April 19, 2019 by brennon
The team at Para Bellum Wargames are gearing up for the release of Conquest: The Last Argument Of Kings in June this year and with that we got a stunning trailer which you can see above.
The ‘Nepenthe’ series sets up the story behind our Core Box Set and the launch of Conquest. Three short stories, interconnected to provide a larger narrative, set the stage: In Riismark, Fredrik, Prince of Brandengrad, faces the forces of the mysterious Alchemist, the Merchant Prince of the Spire Nepenthe.
This first, unexpected battle between Spire and Kingdom forces will ignite the fire of war that will soon spread throughout the world. Somewhere between a prequel and the fourth instalment in our Nepenthe series, "Things Forgotten" delves deeper into the story and the secrets that sparked a war between the two factions.
The video tells the story of the Core Box for the game which you can see the contents of down below...

Not the most original of titles but it I’ll be interesting to see what it’s like
Few times a story from a game has got me so engaged, really GREAT… like their game and their minis…
Not sure whether I’ll take the leap with this, but I’m watching with interest and I hope it does well. It looks like a huge amount of effort has been put into creating something pretty special.
I the miniatures were 28/32mm I’d be more inclined to at least pick up the starter set, but although the larger scale looks good – really good – it does represent a bit of a barrier. To me at least.
Still, looking forward to seeing more.
Nice story. Cannot wait for more tales from Ea.
