Gripping Beast are now taking pre-orders for a new supplement for Soldiers Of Napoleon. You are going to be able to focus on The Peninsular War with a new book for this big battle game set against the backdrop of the Napoleonic War.
The Peninsula War // Soldiers Of Napoleon
The supplement covers the war in Portugal, Spain and France and covers the fighting between 1807 and 1814. Within, you'll find five army lists covering the period including the early portion of the war and then the later years as the push into Frace begins.
For example, as part of the Early Peninsular War, you'll have France's Army Of Spain alongside the alliance between the British and Portuguese. There is also the loyalist Spanish army in there as well. When you move to the Late Peninsular War there's a focus on France's Army Of Spain and the alliance between the British, Portuguese and now the Spanish.

There are new rules and unit profiles covering the forces that would have taken part in those conflicts. That means the likes of Spanish Guerillas alongside a variety of Commanders Of Note which you can use to lead different forces.
Finally, there are also some great battles for you to fight out including a mini-campaign surrounding the Battle Of Albuera. You get to play out the different stages of this clash including the first attack on the village followed by counterattacks and assaults.

Yes, I’m definitely interested. I’ve had a bit of a play with Soldiers of Napoleon, and quite enjoyed the game mechanics, finding the card based system relatively quick to get to grips with.
