The Lazy Forger Sculpt Stunning 3D Printable Trees
May 16, 2023 by brennon
The Lazy Forger are continuing to impress with their range of 3D Printable STL Files that you can get your hands on. Their latest set of releases is an impressive array of trees which can be used to decorate numerous battlefields across a variety of genres.
Large Tree // The Lazy Forger
The trees that The Lazy Forger has been working on are incredibly detailed and come with a wonderful bark texture to them which is going to be great once you break out the drybrush and some washes. As you'll note, you have the main tree structure and then the spindly branches that reach out from it and are crying out for some foliage.

There are going to be some great variants for you to pick from over on The Lazy Forger's MyMiniFactory Page. Listed as the Dark Oak Forest, this is a great way for you to absolutely pack a small-scale table with twenty-two different variants.
Branches/Tiny Trees // The Lazy Forger
The sculpts have been designed to be used with 10mm wargames but because trees come in all manner of different sizes, they could probably work for different scales as well. The Lazy Forger has noted that the trees can be both upscaled and downscaled depending on what you prefer. They do note that if you make some big changes then you should look at re-supporting them.
As you can see, the finished articles are absolutely awesome and with a bit of clump foliage, you should be able to make a terrific-looking forest location for your miniatures to explore.

Finished Tree Diorama // The Lazy Forger
The trees over on MyMiniFactory have that nice finish to them but what's cool is that The Lazy Forger has also made some Blender Plugins available for you to have a look at. This means that you can generate your own trees and tinker around with the files if you like. They have encouraged you to make some for home use (non-commercially).
The Lazy Forger continue to impress and these trees will be nice to see added into the mix alongside a lot of the urban environments that they have designed. Concrete and metal is great but sometimes it's nice to be able to get a peek at the natural world.
Will you be getting these trees?

Ooh they look great for gaming table’s.
Nice looking end product yes, but if that is resin and it sure looks like it given the detail, then these will be far too fragile to be useful as gaming terrain.
Resin of decent quality tends to be very bendy when so thin! Besides, most of the foliage joins together the branches, resulting in pretty solid terrain pieces!
