The Doctors of Carnevale have decided that they need to be more ambitious in their experiments it seems if this new release from TTCombat is anything to go by! An enterprising Apprentice Doctor has decided to play god and create some Mythical Beasts for you to use in this 32mm Horror/Fantasy skirmish wargame.

The Doctors Mythical Beasts - Carnevale

The Doctors - Mythical Beasts // Carnevale

Leading the way for this monstrous menagerie, we have the Apprentice Doctor. They have already been through the wars it seems but there is no progress without sacrifice! With a shock stick in hand, I'm sure that will be enough to keep the terrible monsters at bay.

A broken arm is nothing if The Doctors can continue to push their claim on the city of Venice and take over more of its districts for their own nefarious means. Now we come to the strange collection of monsters this fellow has helped to breathe life into.

Basilisk - Carnevale

Basilisk // Carnevale

First up we have the Basilisk which is capable of downing its foes with a poisonous bite. Some terrible amalgamation of bird and lizard, this Basilisk is going to be shuffling across the street making all manner of awful noises that are somewhere between a cockerel call and a scream.

Next up, we have the strangely beautiful Hippocampus. Swarming out of the waters that make up the canals of Venice, this creature is ready to smash into you and send you crashing to the floor or perhaps into its own watery domain.

Offering up some speed and giving you the chance to fly to where the fighting is deadliest, you also have the Hippogryph.

Part bird, part horse, part nightmare, this looks like it uses its immense pain and anguish to tear its foes apart. If the talons don't get you, the snapping beak is sure to slice flesh and bone!

Last but not least, we have possibly the most terrifying of the menagerie. Here we have the Manticore which is agile and deadly and has a very, very unsettling appearance!

I do not want to know what poor soul got their head torn from their body and grafted onto whatever that beast is. If you're a fan of the weird and the wonderful in Carnvale then The Doctors should be the faction for you. This set then takes things to another level! I do like the idea of The Doctors using these creatures to do their dirty work whilst they continue doing the important stuff during a mission.

What do you make of this collection of "Mythical Beasts"?
