The Deadly Apex Hunts For Prey In Dropzone Commander
June 9, 2018 by brennon
TTCombat has revealed one of their show miniatures for the year, the deadly Apex which strides around the battlefield with its own agenda in Dropzone Commander.
We know it's not all going to suddenly turn Pacific Rim in Dropzone Commander but it sure is awesome to see some of the brilliant monsters and alien creatures from the wider world that this game is set in. It also stands pretty darn tall over most other models in the game.
I like the idea of a scenario where one of these Apex beasts has eaten something it shouldn't have and now two armies are trying to hunt it down so that they can get the precious information from its body!
Either that or you just have the Apex laying waste to a city and you need to get in there and sort it out!
What do you think of the Apex?

Who would expect that a game like Frostgrave will have such a big influence on other games…
Random encounters have been around for a lot longer than Frostgrave, Mordheim had D100 role charts for them, still it should be fun to add such a beastie in…
Here, kitty, kitty.
That looks really cool. I am looking forward to getting started in the game with the next edition. Have the current rules, but never got around to collecting or playing.
That is great looking giant monster.
the more alive a dropzone is the better.
That could work as a terror world beast to have three army’s on the table an ambush getting ambushed by a pack of them.
Rules for Fauna first appeared in the phase 2 expansion book which must be getting on for 2 years old by now? Sadly models for them have been on the back burner with Drop fleet then the merger/buyout dominating Hawks attention. Its great to see things moving again on the big Beastie front!
Looks great. Glad I picked one up after seeing them at the last minute at UKGE!
Can’t wait for 2nd Edition to be properly released and momentum building for this excellent game again.
