The creator of The Binding Of Isaac, Edmund McMillen, has hit Kickstarter with his own card game based on the successful rogue-like video game. The Binding Of Isaac: Four Souls has been doing very well over on the funding platform!

The game has you taking on the role of Isaac and some of the other main characters from the video game and working to try and claim four souls from the horrible bosses that lurk down in the darkness.

There is an emphasis on a mix between bartering, betrayal, cooperation and more as each of the powers the characters have can be used to help or hinder those around the tabletop. It has a very Munchkin vibe to it but with some new and interesting mechanics thrown into the mix.

Lots more swag has been unlocked for the game already but at a base level, you get some good stuff in the core box. I like that they've taken a lot of the key concepts of the video game, like the acquisition of loot and upgrades to focus your character in a certain direction, and cooperative nature of it too.

The added level of backstabbing is something that I think a lot of us like to see too. From what they've said, if you're a fan of the video game or something like Munchkin which we've mentioned before, this might be one to check out.
