Fancy Adding The Big Bang Theory Into Your Batman Games?
October 14, 2020 by brennon
Knight Models introduced another surprise release into the mix for their Batman Miniatures Game this week. Here we have their 35mm Justice League...but in the form of The Big Bang Theory cast.
The Big Bang Theory Justice League // Knight Models
The set introduces each of The Big Bang Theory characters in their appropriate costumes from an episode early on in the life of the show. So, if you're into Batman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Flash or Superman you now have some options that are a little different from the norm.
As you can see, the set comes with some alternative heads for the main characters which are actually pretty good likenesses. Plus, you get statistics cards for using them in your games.

I'm certainly someone who enjoyed The Big Bang Theory to begin with but the plot and characters soon wore thin. However, if you're a big fan of the show and you like your DC comics then this might be a fun set for you to pick up and enjoy. It seems like a good idea for those who want to pick something up for the Halloween period as a gift or indeed for themselves.
Is this set something you'd be tempted by?

Cool
The leonard smiling head is brutal
Quirky, but not something that tempts my comic book nerd side.
That`s quite cool… what next i wonder ?
I´m not in the Batman game, but as a big TBBT fan this is for me. Even Zack is included.
Lol they look great and fun for gamers. Zoom Zoom Zoom.
Great idea ?
As a lapsed BMG player….no. I did stick with the show even if I was waiting for it to wrap up for several seasons but I can’t say I have much desire to spend time and money on a novelty crew. My main issue, and one ringing loud in the BMG community, is that there are glaring gaps in the 3rd edition product line that undermine the game. Knight should be focusing on bringing the many neglected crews up to par for the no longer do new edition but instead are putting out off and niche releases like this of… Read more »
Totally agree, the game needs a serious relooking at or proper reboot. Like the idea but if this came out WHEN the show was on, it would really be a hit, now….i don’t see who this will appeal to, Big Bangers may get it but not take it out of the package, much less paint the minis ( although as geeks, maybe they will ).
From what I hear 3e is actually pretty good – just incomplete.
And yeah, this release feels very late to market.
Did Big Bang Theory get good later on? I quit watching it at a pretty low point where it was clearly not a show meant for geeks.
After the iniital novelty of geek comedy wore off it kind of stopped being funny.
I also noticed that during the endless re-runs we had as we waited for the new season a lot of the funny episodes lost their appeal. I guess the jokes were a bit too cheap to be worth a second viewing ?
I watched it for a while, until it became too obvious that the show wasn’t written by geeks (at least not anymore). Sometimes- especially early on- I feel like the jokes were geek jokes (like the rant about how Louis Lane should be cut into three pieces when Superman catches her, or the quip about how Firefly night is a sure bet). As the series went on, I think it became clear to me that the writers were outsiders. Characters have an argument about whether Wolverine has bone claws, and it gets RESOLVED when one of them shows the other… Read more »
Not something that appeals to me personally, but it’s good that they are able to release something a bit quirky and fun.
They are a bit late to the party though, because the tv-show kind of fizzled/ended years ago.
it mostly took that long to get approval from all the actors and now they are trying to squeeze as much $$$ as possible. Thought the shop ended with a whimper instead of a bang so ….whatever
