Own The Night With Terrors Of London On Kickstarter
August 7, 2018 by cassn
In the shadows of London, terrors stir. Powerful overlords conspire against one another, amassing hordes of monsters to do their bidding. Only one will claim the night and all within it as their prize.
Terrors of London is the latest offering from Klossal Games on Kickstarter. A competitive deck-builder, players assume the role of an overlord and build their collection of monsters from four factions; beasts, spirits, mortals and the undead. Form hoards and collect relics in order to defeat your competition and become the ruler of London's darkness.
This fast-paced deck-builder will appeal to players who often become frustrated at the slower pace of other card games on the market. The heavy-hitting cards favour aggressive gameplay and, although purchasing is still an important feature in Terrors of London, the game is more about attacking than deck-building.
Monsters can be attributed to more than one faction, which allows for diversity and fluidity in the hoard combinations on offer. And with special relic cards being played immediately, Terrors of London keeps the pressure on the players - a tension which similar games often lack.
While the game is designed for two players, Kickstarter backers who choose the Victorian Noble pledge will receive components to adapt the game for three to four players.
I've personally become a bit world-weary of the Victorian Gothic aesthetic in gaming, but the artwork is well-designed and, more importantly, as an aggressive gamer myself I appreciate a card game which focuses on action rather than construction. The campaign ends mid-August, so if you still haven't backed it, you can get it here.

I have to admit, I was intrigued by this game on first seeing it, but I had my “That artwork is awesome” glasses on. Now just “Meh”.
This sound like a great game terrorising London and England people.
