Fight In The Temple Of The Snake God With Steamforged Games
April 15, 2021 by brennon
Steamforged Games has announced the next two Epic Encounters sets which can be used in your D&D Fantasy adventures. The theme this time around is the Temple Of The Snake God which seems very apt for those who love their Conan-based stories.
Giant Snake // Epic Encounters
There are two sets for you to pick up. One of them includes the big boss monster for your adventure (seen above). The Giant Snake comes as part of the Temple Of The Snake God set alongside a set of rules for playing out this encounter in 5th Edition D&D.
This would be a rather fun jungle-based adventure I reckon. Maybe the ship that your characters are on is hit by a storm and they wake up on the sunkissed beaches of a tropical island. They think it might be safe until they get attacked by deadly Snake Men!
Serpent Folk // Epic Encounters
The second set is called Chambers Of The Serpent Folk and includes twenty miniatures which can be used in the run-up to the final confrontation with the Giant Snake itself. As always, these miniatures are one-piece plastics meaning you just need to slap a bit of paint on them and they are ready to go.
Serpent Folk // Epic Encounters
You've got a bunch of great looking miniatures in this set. You have the big mages and villainous lords as well as plenty of regular Serpent Folk to serve under them. It is also neat that we have some Serpent Folk with legs and others with tails!
Serpent Folk // Epic Encounters
I think these would be great foes for Conan to face too. Everyone who knows the classic 90s cartoon show will be no doubt eager to banish the Serpent Men back into their own dimension! I bet you would have a lot of fun with bright poppy colours here. Maybe another candidate for Contrast paints?

Let me know if you're going to be picking these up and using them in your next Dungeons & Dragons adventures!

Interesting looking danger noodles…
Ooh snakey snake charmers tribe and the giant snake looks fantastic.
Those look really good.
I bought the Orc version from this set.
They are really nice miniatures, really good detail. The sculpts for the orcs are very unique though, so not your generic orc. Which I liked.
However I bought it on Amazon, and paying only $34 for the set. At that price it was a steal. At the regular price, well that depends on you. I wouldnt pay full price.
