Westfalia Tease New Miniatures Based On The Dark Eye RPG
June 14, 2018 by brennon
Westfalia is continuing to expand their catalogue it seems as they turn their attention to sculpting some Torwalians based on the German RPG, The Dark Eye. Take a peek...
I would imagine that, for fans of this Fantasy world, you'll be getting a lot more models based on the races and cultures from this world. The people of Thorwald are, as you might have guessed, inspired by Northern warriors from our world - at least in their aesthetic.
Are you someone who has delved into The Dark Eye?

Das Schwarze Auge was my first RPG back in the fatherland in 1984. Amazed it is still going. Those sculpts are as nice as can always be expected from Westfalia and the Torwal style is quite unusual – clearly Nordic influenced, but not straight up Viking. Would use these as Warhammer Nordlanders for example.
apparently it’s a better seller than D&D, so that’s good 😉 I’ve never come across it, only a limited run in english at a period I wasn’t playing new rpgs so I never stumbled across it. But Westfalia do lovely work and Paul Hicks is always a talented bastard. So I’ll be picking up some of these, for something, not sure what though 🙂
“Those are for Fantasy Saga” is my go to justification for such purchases at the moment. Failing that, there should be a suitable ruleset by Osprey that can be obtained to base any miniature purchase on.
fantastic well detailed figures.
Those are very nice.
Looking nice. But the hands seem to be a bit too big. Looking forward to the next batch here 🙂
While I don’t play “Das Schwarze Auge”, I don’t see what prevents me from using those nice minis in other games, so I’d say “Bring them on”.
