Tabletop Time’s Kindred Of The Abyss Coming To BackerKit
December 24, 2024 by brennon
The YouTube channel Tabletop Time will be launching a new project soon over on BackerKit. Kindred Of The Abyss will be the first range of miniatures that they are hoping to expand over the next few years, beginning with these nautically themed miniatures.

Tabletop Time will be teaming up with Golden Dragon Games to bring these miniatures to life and whilst they come from their own world, they could be used in all manner of different Sci-Fi games.

Whilst we only have a bit of art at the moment, it won't be long until Tabletop Time start to show off the miniatures and their vision for the range. Due to some annoyance dealing with Kickstarter, they've had to almost start again with this project so it would be worth signing up to see what they have planned.
You can find out more about how that all came about here...

Make sure to check out the end of the video (around the 11:55 mark) for a glimpse of the Kindred Of The Abyss. You can also take a look at more of the concept art above to get a feel for the faction. I am interested to see the miniatures in more detail once the campaign kicks off and how they go about painting their miniatures.
Will you be keeping an eye on the Kindred Of The Abyss?

Big daddy bioshock vibes
Agreed
Soon as L saw that I thought Bioshock.
Heavy rubber diving suits the likes found in Disney’s old 10,000 Leagues Under the Sea. Looks promising and is sad that Kickstarter is doing bullshit business while promoting other things far less deserving.
Kickstarter eating their children. Have we reached the tipping point?
How did KS screw this up? I’m just curious.
Short version: Tabletop Time “somehow” was connected to a different Kickstarter that was planned for next year and Kickstarter said: only one project at a time and after some back and forth TT moved the project to backerkit.
Ah. Thanks! More KS hijinx!
Nice
This game looks amazing, but I think it wont be very successful. There is already a underwater tabletop game called DeepWars by Antimatter-Games, and it is a niche genre within our niche area of the gaming world. Nonetheless I wish them every success. I’d love it if this game saw the light of day.
Does look cool, but yes, there already are a couple of underwater themed games.
Is there room for another? Maybe?
