Sword & Board Games have five new models on their webstore and they have been painted up rather nicely indeed! The world of Twelve Elements Of War has plenty of exciting Fantasy races all with diverse roles within it so it's always great to see what they've been working on...

Beast Slayer

First up we have the Beast Slayer Orc who is a female warrior who strides out into the wilderness confidently to hunt down her prey. I really like the sculpting here which has managed to make her recognisably female while also incredibly well built.

She comes armed (as you can see) with a big crossbow that is meant for taking down the largest of prey I warrant. In addition; if things get too hairy for her to reload her crossbow she has that rather neat axe to get stuck in with.

Jaded Noble

I mentioned above that the Sword & Board folks subvert your expectations of some of the regular Fantasy races and that's certainly the case with this Jaded Noble for the Goblins.

Where normally you'd expect a snivelling wrench of a creature that is subservient to others we have a proper noble wielding a rather fine sword. I'm not sure on the pose here but I imagine he is swinging the blade up to point it at his foe.

Bandit Hunter

Hunting on the roads for scum and villainy we have the Bandit Hunter. This Dwarf looks right in the middle of catching his latest runaway.

I imagine that another member of his company has wounded the fleeing bandit and he has closed in with the spear to pin him down by the neck and keep him still.

Highguard Runecaster

Another Dwarf is on the way in the form of the Highguard Runecaster. Summoning up great power she is sculpting calling on said strength in battle.

I really like the heavily plated look of this model and she would work well as a Cleric or Paladin type if you took her into the world of Dungeons & Dragons.

Wilderness Ranger

Last but not least we have my favourite with the Wilderness Ranger. This Faun is a tracker who is built for scampering around the forests and mountains in search of pathways and watching the movements of the enemy.

I do like the idea of heroes in tune with nature so the Faun fills that requirement quite well indeed. I appreciate that the horns aren't too big here either so they don't dominate the model and shove the fact that he's a faun into your face.
