A Surly Norse Male Finished By Hasslefree Miniatures
September 8, 2017 by brennon
As Norse Warlords go this one might be a good choice. See what you make of this newly finished model by Hasslefree Miniatures.
This model doesn't exactly conjure up the idea of a wandering warlord like Hardrada for example however but instead maybe a farm owner and merchant who has made his way in his small neck of the woods.
You could see him as a character similar to Ragnar in early episodes of Vikings where he fights for his family and close friends rather than for larger causes. He certainly looks awesome and the model is packed with detail.
What do you think of the new Norse Male?

Its minis like this that makes you realise why Kev is still the master these days (and not a CAD program in sight)
Fantastic! Agree about the CAD stuff. You can’t get this kind of nuance with computers.
fabulous.
For a quite plain sculpt of a guy just standing there, that figure certainly has a bucketful of character. There’s something about the way Kev White poses his figures that is masterful. This character reminds me a bit of the guy Daniel Day Lewis played in Gangs of New York. You wouldn’t want to mess with him.
does he remind you any more of this fella @fiore 😉

seen him pop up a couple of days ago and he’s another stunning sculpt, but I have to throttle back my purchases this month as there are a couple of kickstarters due this month I need to support
