Footsore’s Surly Norman Axemen Previewed Ahead Of 2018 Release
November 8, 2017 by brennon
Coming in the early part of 2018 Footsore Miniatures are going to be building up their Norman range and we got a proper look at some finished models this week with the Norman Axemen.
Sculpted by Paul Hicks and then painted by Darren Linington this set of four show off some rather down and dirty looking Normans who have been at the butcher's work on the battlefield.
You could imagine them being set into the front lines, axes at the ready to cleave shields and drag them away from defenders so those with spears and swords can get stuck in and make a gap in the enemy lines.
The models are looking great and will be a nice addition to the collection of Dark Age models they have in their range.
What do you make of them?

nice looking troops.
Those are very nice. I’ll keep these in mind when I get into SAGA.
More exciting is Footsore plan to release Vikings before Christmas!!!!
If Bill gets them sculpted in time ; )
Call that an axe ? I prefer mine of the Danish variety 🙂
These are great!
Oh my giddy aunt what a surprise and no mistake. I’ll be flummoxed and so on and so forth.
Well I guess I’ll have to bus them. So the Saracens don’t feel lonely
