A Superb Tyrannosaurus Rex On The Way From Khurasan

Khurasan Miniatures make a lot of different bits and bobs for all manner of genres but this next model below, their new Tyrannosaurus Rex, takes the crown of 'most awesome thing ever' by them I reckon...

Tyrannosaurus Rex #1

While this might not look exactly how you'd imagined a T-Rex this is apparently quite close to how they would have appeared back in the annuls of pre-history. This model was mostly based on Scott Hartman's reconstruction of "Sue's" skeleton which is rather neat.

Considering the link between the dinosaurs and birds it seems like it wouldn't have been too far fetched for them to have feathers as you can see here on their spines and for display. The colouring of the T-Rex also looks great and it looks like a proper hunter/scavenger.

The model itself was due to be used for a 28mm pulpy adventure range and I could still see that being the case. I'd love to do some Lost World style scenario where you have to escape from this roaring beast.
