Another StuG III Rumbles Off The Line From Blitzkrieg
October 15, 2014 by brennon
Once again it looks like Blitzkrieg Miniatures are trying to make Warren the happiest hobbyist on the planet with the upcoming release of another StuG III in both 1/56 and 1/48 scale...
It's not hard to see why this isn't a well loved tank destroyer. The shape is cool, the side armour plating is awesome looking and it consistently looks like it will pack a punch when it fires that cannon. Blitzkrieg do some really nicely detailed tank kits and this is another for the pile I reckon.
You can now buy the 1/48 scale version of the tank over on their webstore so go and check it out!
What do you think of it?
Nice vehicle. What’s up with the brickwork pattern to either side of the gun? Is that supposed to be Zimmerit mine paste?
Hey, this is great timing! I’m on the lookout for some German self propelled guns to blow some gaping holes in some American armour! >:D
With the Warlord Games tank starter on the horizon this looks like a pretty good offering.
nice
StuG III getting more some deserved love.
Very nice representation of a StG-IIIG. My only thing, and it’s a small one, are those big 40K-esque bolts along the top of the Schurtzen. I’d never seen these, but did some poking around and **sort of** found something similar in the StG-III “early” G?
Have I mentioned my unnatural love of StuG’s?
There is another 30mins wasted just… well just… looking… sigh!!
