StudioLevel Website Launch Makes It Simple To Build Your Table
August 30, 2021 by avernos
Over the past few years, StudioLevel has run eight Kickstarters for a variety of terrain sets and game aids and now they have launched their own website and store so the catalogue is available for people who missed out to get their hands on some lovely bits of resin, or something more bespoke.
Undead Tombs // StudioLevel
StudioLevel makes a selection of terrain aimed mainly at 40K players, although the Undead Tombs above are perfect for Age of Sigmar players as well. Scale wise they are on the chunkier side of 28mm and as such will work for pretty much everyone who has a need for Science Fiction or Fantasy terrain at that size. There are even some lovely Post-Apocalyptic pieces for those looking to hold back roaming gangs of zombies or savage hordes of punks!
I'm just here for the gasoline // Petrolyard
Apart from the resin terrain, Seb is also available for design work and scratch building, so if you have ideas in your head of a landscape you want to see specifically for your army then you can contact him directly and get your own uniquely personal layout made, he even does commission painting if you really want to get it on the table without any effort on your part. But wait there's more!
Forest of Felica // StudioLevel
There is also a selection of four neoprene mat types from lava plains, to forests, desert sands to frozen wastelands. All of these are available in a variety of sizes from full 6' x 4', to Kill Team 22" x 30", and every size in between covering all of the standard game modes for GW games. For gamers on the go, you can even pick up a modular set with their Battle Pack system that contains a full 6' x 4' mat, all the terrain you need and a bag to carry it to your venue. There's even room to squeeze in your templates and dice, but you'll have to find somewhere else to carry your minis.
StudioLevel // Battlepack
For fans of proper basing their most recent Kickstarter, Battle Squares, is now available for late pledges on Gamefound. This is a set of resin bases and movement trays that are all magnetised. Perfect for players of The 9th Age, Oathmark, Warhammer, and Kings of War they cover all of the standard base sizes you may need, from standard 20mm infantry up to 50 x 100mm for Chariots or monsters. The bases can be seen in more detail here, but there are options for solid or with a pre-carved slot to save on pinning. Textured with scattered skulls for that whamster feel they lend themselves to being painted in a whole host of ways without looking out of place.
I would highly recommend checking the range out from StudioLevel, I backed the Petrolyard kickstarter to fill my Walking Dead boards and I'm incredibly happy with the quality of the sculpts and the casting. Nice robust pieces that really stand out on the gaming table.
Which of their ranges are your favourite?
