Studio Level Have The Battlepack For Gamers On The Go
September 21, 2020 by avernos
Studio Level is a Polish Company who make handmade terrain to raise your tabletop wargames to the next level. They've done some superb work in the past with ranges of resin terrain and they are on Kickstarter with a campaign for a piece of kit that a lot of gamers who travel with their collections will love.
BATTLEPACK // Studio Level
The team at Studio Level have put together a Kickstarter that contains a comprehensive kit that allows you to pack a full 6' x 4' tables worth of gaming terrain including the mat that stores away into a custom set of boxes and bags. Anyone who has had to transport terrain to a club or friends house for games will know that while there are plenty of solutions for your miniatures terrain pieces are often relegated to biscuit tins and under-bed storage boxes.

The mat itself is perfect for post-apocalyptic games or your favourite sci-fi setting. Made in 24" squares to give you modularity even these mats have been handcrafted as the video on the Kickstarter shows each square was physically built and painted before being photographed and printed onto neoprene. It means you have something that is incredibly detailed and at the same time, you're able to vary your layouts with ease all in a handy portable size.
Building Detail // Studio Level
The resin buildings have also been handcrafted and while they look similar to their Deathcity terrain they have been built with transportation in mind. The walls slot into the rubbled base supports and the floors onto internal buttressing meaning you can take them down and pack them into your Battlepack when you're ready for home. The ruined buildings and feature pieces are generic enough that you can use them from Bolt Action to Warhammer 40K without remark and having recently got my hands on a set of their Petrolyard terrain I can say the casts are detailed and robust to give you a good area to play on.
If you're a gamer on the move the Kickstarter is worth checking out, if you don't require portability in your terrain there are levels available for the mats and terrain without the Battlepack to go with it.

I took a look at that after it launched and to be honest: I think it’s way overpriced. But then, transportability and convenience always comes at a price.
true, I am very impressed with the quality of the resin buildings I got from them and the modular version makes production more labour intensive which is what pushes the price
Ooh they look good.
