Strike Hard & Grab New 15mm Squads From ClearHorizon
July 21, 2015 by brennon
ClearHorizon Miniatures have previewed what's coming up next in their line-up of vehicles as well as a few new squads for both the Hura and Humans (Epsilon Squad). Both squads bring new weapons and new ways of fighting to the 15mm tabletop...
Dropships Incoming
The HADES Banshee is coming soon from these guys and will be available in 15mm for use with your other models in the ClearHorizon collection. The idea behind the dropship is that it doesn't have a pilot but instead is controlled virtually or by an on board AI.
I think it looks rough and ready, a proper piece of military technology with purpose. It will be fun to see how much of the interior they work on. I doubt that is such a big thing with 15mm models but it would be cool to see the interior.
New Squads
As well as the Dropship you'll need some squads to deploy. See what you think of the new Hura Squad which is a foray into the world of aliens and the Epsilon Squad where the humans have developed new technology to fight back.
"The Hura Technocracy represents an alien species known as the Hura. While possessing traits of both crabs and mantis insects, the Hura are an advanced species that use their technology to give them every advantage.
Not only do they have a strong chitin outer skeleton that can deflect blows almost as well as most basic Human body armor, they utilize a powerful series of miniature, close-contact forcefield generators that provide an extra layer of defense without limiting their strength and speed"
"Epsilon Squads are a Human combat force outfitted with hard-hitting weaponry and Exo-skeleton armored suits. Epsilon Squads fight on the front line, whether establishing an Orbital Beachhead or taking a city back from enemy forces."
Both squads are very cool but I would have to say I side with the humans on this one. I particularly like the team leader with the huge Final Fantasy sized sword.
What do you think?

Damn you 15mm! Where were you with this kind of quality a few years back when I started collected 28mm?
With Heavy Gear going 15mm plastic soon and the new 15mm halo ground battle game I think it’s past time to make the switch. I’m even tempted to mix some scifi in with WW2 15mm for War of the Worlds (first invasion was late 1800s, second was around 1915, third would have hit right around the mid 1940s, extrapolating the future the Cold War space race might well have been motivated by mounting a punitive expedition to Mars!).
I’m not switching to 15s at all but if the Halo land war figures turn out like those I shall be a happy bunny indeed!!
Here is an interior shot:

The rear ramp can be positioned up and down, the side doors can be opened or closed and the landing gear can be modeled up or down.
I might have just found the aliens I want for ‘Tomorrow’s War’. Thanks. D.x
Mr Harold above has pushed us as a 15MM gaming community recently , excited by this and all the other porducts he (and others have made).
This is a super addition to my USMC Marsoc Operators for Gruntz.
