Some awesome new 35mm miniatures are now available from GCT Studios for the month of July. A range of fascinating characters are available for different factions in Bushido and we start with some strange, elemental forces.

Kami Of The Summer Storm - Bushido

Kami Of The Summer Storm // Bushido

The first of these is the Kami Of The Summer Storm. A new miniature for the Ronin and Kami collection, this swirling maelstrom can be summoned to send your enemies scattered across the tabletop. When combined with the might of the Temple, the Kami Of The Summer Storm dishes out a bunch of stun tokens which will no doubt cause all manner of problems. It also looks awesome and seems like it would be a lot of fun to paint.

The second of the Kami is the Kami Of The Empty Mind.

This strange creation can offer a whole host of benefits to different factions. For some, it might accelerate the accumulation of Ki whilst for others it can call on the Void all the more powerfully. This roiling mass of possibility can cause all sorts of havoc at range and in close-quarters combat.

Sticking with the ethereal if not the elemental, we have a new miniature for the Cult Of Yurei in the Maiden Of Sayoga.

Maiden Of Sayoga - Bushido

Maiden Of Sayoga // Bushido

Cut down by an Ashigaru who didn't know better, this spirit now haunts the swamps of Sayoga and is now strangely linked to a young maiden. She feeds on fear and this makes her all the more powerful as she floats across the battlefield. A proper ghost story and a fun way for you to add more character to the Cult Of Yurei. The more fear these two can cause, the more powerful they become!

The Jung Pirates can also call upon a rather monstrous ally in the form of Renishi.

Renishi - Bushido

Renishi // Bushido

This heavily armoured individual is a pretty darn good stalwart on the tabletop and a good way for you to lock down objectives and hold them indefinitely. It helps that "Killer Claw" is also able to snap people in half with those claws and turn them into fish food. Even being near this fellow can end with you bleeding as you get pricked by his spines.

I think it would be nice to see the transitions that people work on between the crab elements of this fellow and his regular skin. A nice painting project as well as a good addition to the Jung Pirates.

The Silvermoon Syndicate can also call on a bruiser in the form of Lama'a.

Lamaa - Bushido

Lama'a // Bushido

Lama'a is a proper distraction that allows the rest of the Silvermoon Syndicate to do their work. He can also soak up a lot of damage which could be very handy indeed when you need to lock down a portion of the tabletop. His Distraction Ki allows you to keep all the attention on him.

Last but not least, we have another Ronin in the form of Atsunobu.

Atsunobu - Bushido

Atsunobu // Bushido

A brave and deadly melee combatant, this fellow seems like he would be great for supplementing a warband in Bushido that needs another sword hand to hold the line. He will fight to the bitter end and push his way through numerous foes in order to finish his objective. I really like the stance of Atsunobu, sword raised as he looks to strike down his next foe. The tattered robes also mark him out as a veteran as do the scars on his chest.

Could you be tempted to pick up these new miniatures for Bushido?
