Eureka Step Away From Historical For Fantastical Runestaff Range
October 21, 2016 by brennon
Eureka Miniature are going to be stepping away from Historical games and instead will look to the Fantasy world of Runestaff by Michael Moorcock.
I won't pretend to be aware of the series of Fantasy novels but it seems like a popular one in the old style of Swords & Sorcery. Above you can see some of the characters, Hawkmoon, Oladahn, and Count Brass (left to right) and they're looking rather awesome!
They've also been working on Baron Meliadus, another character from the stories who looks like a decidedly evil fellow when compared to these noble sorts!
There is much more in the pipeline for the game but they have really focused in on making sure all of the characters from this universe hit the tabletop alongside some rank and file soldiers too.
Kamarg Soldiers
As a regular soldier in this world, you might feel a little left out but Eureka has sculpted up a set of standard Kamarg Soldiers for you to include in your tales on the tabletop.
As well as swords and shields above they are also working on warriors with axes and maces...
...and bows and arrows too. You'll have a decent little fighting force taking to the tabletop here!
If you want to take things to the next level and create a full regiment of these folks then they've also designed a command element too.
If you're a fan of the world of Runestaff then you're in for a bit of a treat thanks to Eureka it seems. Old school Fantasy adventures for the win!
It's worth keeping an eye on their Facebook Page for more information as it arrives.
Do you remember reading through this series of books?
