Two New Starter Sets Coming Soon For DUST In 2016
December 3, 2015 by brennon
The DUST Team have previewed some examples of new DUST Starter Sets which will be coming out in January 2016. The idea is to see the Allies and the Luftwaffe to hit the tabletop with some desert themed boxes surrounding Kondor...
You can see some of the miniatures above and below showing off tanks, walkers, troopers and characters which will all be popping up for you to grab at the start of the next year.
This will never sit well with people as a product after the problems that arose during the Kickstarter but it's good to see that those that enjoy DUST will be able to pick up more of the products next year.
I actually managed to get my first game of DUST in during the Boot Camp and quite enjoyed it!
Will you be considering this?

This game seems more alive than ever.
I wish it was a full on hobby product with spues insead of build and preprimed/painted models.
They have started to offer three types of product, professionally painted, pre primed and kit form depending on your preference. Check out the website stuffs on there.
I love this game, and I have to say it was really fun get a BIG game in with the guys at the boot camp.
That was a great game, go lasers! Pity the zombies didn’t get any action. I think we went a bit overboard on the army sizes 😉
Isn’t Dust about 1/48 scale ? Looking at the price of stuff on their web site , I think I would rather pick up Tamiya models and kitbash them . You could probably get 4 kits for the price of 2 Dust kits . Sure you have to add laser cannons and stuff , but what else are my 40 K Space Marine tanks good for except for parts …lol
I tried Tamiya kits for Bolt Action, but boy, theres like a gazillion of parts, after all these are scale models. Availability is quite the issue as well, try to get some Pz IVs. I had to import and got some of the last ones on the planet directly from Japan.
All in all I found it a not so great idea, because of the build time and the sheer amout of work scale models need. Id prefer something thats more targeted to gamers.
Hahaha 🙂
I love the ‘flying’ guys, but I won’t start playing again.
Loving the look of these boxes, I was involved in the kickstater, left me feeling quite badly burned, rightly or wrongly though I don’t blame Dust studio for that. All is forgiven now as I’ve had some stuff delivered finally.
still waitin’ on my KS stuff and pretty pissed about it !
While it is good to see more tracked and conventional-ish WWII weapons for Dust, I think the high monetary cost they are going to be going for is going to be too much for most players. They are just not as attractive as the walkers, and I can’t see them fitting any role in the game that is worth the money.
It irks me to see a company pushing out new stuff when they still haven’t fulfilled all of the KS orders from 18 months ago.
As far as the cost, there have been very few things I have ordered from Dust directly. I have gotten some great deals from Miniature Market, FFG, BF, etc around black friday and christmas time.
Welcome to the dark side 😉 I must say all would have been lost without Ben’s excellent dice rolling! Mine truly sacked, the dice gods abandoned me all weekend. Feckers!!!!
Dust is still a fav game but the KS and the price of the news sets and the reduction in umit size does not make me very impressed with the whole thing . 50 quid for a hero 1 infantry unit and a walker ? When the 2014 starter sets were £40 for a hero and 2 infantry units plus walker . Enuff said !!
