Fantasy Flight Games has announced a new expansion to Star Wars: Destiny. You will now be able to delve deeper into interesting character combinations and conflicts with Spark Of Hope.

Star Wars Destiny Spark Of Hope - FFG

Spark Of Hope will offer up a new selection of characters, both heroes and villains, all of whom offer up new tactical options for this dice-based collectable card game. Some of the neat additions to the mix were the new versions of both Rey and Kylo Ren.

Star Wars Destiny Spark Of Hope Card Fan - FFG

You can see them here alongside a new take on Thrawn too. Both Rey and Kylo Ren here, despite being on opposite sides of the same coin, are able to work together really well. Their Power Actions and Specials on their dice compliment each other very well and thanks to a new card, Temporary Truce, you can run them both in the same deck. This also gives you access to both Hero and Villain cards making for potent cross-faction combinations.

Yub Nub!

As well as these very serious looking characters you'll also be able to run a proper bloomin' Ewok deck for the first time too!

Chief Chirpa - FFG

Chief Chirpa is one of the characters included in the new set and he can run alongside a range of new Ewok cards from the set to give you an army of little furry fellas all ready to stick it to the Empire.

As well as being able to bring your regular compliment of Ewoks into the game you can also bring more in thanks to additional cards in the set offering up a chance to lay down an impressive amount of indirect fire on your enemy.

Ewok Warrior - FFG

Sure this firepower is going to be messy and might not always hit the right target but these plucky little Ewoks are going to cause some serious damage if you manage to combine them in the right way!

This sounds like it's going to be a really fun new set and maybe it'll even come with a few hints as to the future of Star Wars as a whole what with The Rise Of Skywalker coming this Christmas.

Do you still play lots of Star Wars: Destiny?

"...you'll also be able to run a proper bloomin' Ewok deck for the first time too!"
