Star Wars: Rogue One Teased As New Chapter In The Saga

Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One was another of the projects that was announced over the weekend following a massive celebration of all things "Far, Far Away". You can see the teaser trailer for this particular story above...
You can't quite tell but that's the Death Star in the background of the teaser trailer and it hints towards the story of this particular endeavour. Rogue One will follow a band of resistance fighters as they try and steal the plans for the Death Star in a hope of destroying it and bringing peace to the galaxy.
The film will slot into the franchise after Episode III and close to the events of Episode IV. This marks it as an interesting addition to the line-up but certainly helps to bridge the gaps between the two trilogies.
Will you be keeping an eye out for this one?

I cannot explain how really annoying that was, still I am sure you’ll sort it or explain why very soon. Either way it does not mean the sky has fallen, just yet at any rate 🙂
seen some of the news about this, seems like a cool idea for movie 🙂
… apparently they are going full on war movie with this,
and have a lot of the team from Saving Private Ryan, and Black Hawk Down 🙂
I’m not sure about this one. It sounds like a nice idea, but I was expecting the spin off movies to be set at the same time as the new ones and follow the same timeline, in the way that Marvel CU movies do. I’m just not convinced that jumping around in the time line is a good idea. Put it this way, if Episode 7 was followed by a spin off movie set between 7 and 8 then I’d feel the need to watch it.
