Splintered Light Gather Together A Lesser Goblin Horde
February 26, 2019 by brennon
Splintered Light Miniatures are on Kickstarter right now with their Lesser Goblin Horde. This range of 28mm miniatures sculpted a while ago by Bob Olley are now coming back to raid settlements!
This collection brings together a warband of very old school looking figures for you to throw into your tabletop games. With options like Warlords Of Erehwon now available and plenty of people getting stuck into lots of different Fantasy wargames AND role-playing games once more, having a selection of Goblins seems like a good option.
Each of the miniatures look great and a perfect way to focus towards a large clan, bursting forth from the depths to hunt their foes. Each comes with the metal base underneath but you could easily mount them on traditional plastic bases as well if you liked.
As I mentioned above they are also working on specific clans for these Goblins, namely the likes of the Fox Clan Warriors, Weasel Clan Slingers, and Bat Clan Assassins.
I think this would be fascinating for someone looking to create a nice themed force and because they're all pretty much one piece figures you'd not have to do a lot of assembly! A force which can be based, painted and ready for gaming is perfect for most gamers nowadays.
As the campaign has gone on they've also unlocked lots of stretch goals and add-ons including some Trolls.
Whenever you see Goblins you're bound to see Trolls. I'm not sure about the gangly look to these particular Trolls but I think they'd be awesome for someone wanting to get that proper Oldhammer feeling for their force.
Will you be checking out this campaign?

I do like those goblins and trolls. Those look both good as well as old school.
Old school that’s new school Old school and look great.
Weird, Splintered Light already sells those trolls as ‘giants’.
