Splintered Light Invite You Down To Black Root Forest
September 10, 2019 by brennon
Splintered Light Miniatures is inviting you down into Black Root Forest to meet its wild warriors in 15mm for all manner of wargaming and roleplaying adventures.
This new campaign is focused on bringing you a range of smaller-scale warriors and monsters from the depths of the forest for you to use in your games. The range of different miniatures is nice and diverse and would make for a wild bestial army that is looking to protect their woodland home.
A range of traditional Beastmen have been matched with larger creatures like the Minotaur and more to give you a nice selection of creatures to use in your warbands. I like the idea of using these models for smaller-scale Warlords Of Erehwon or Age Of Magic.
Additionally, I'd also advocate for using smaller-scale collections like that from Splintered Light Miniatures in order to create dungeon delving adventures. I love the idea of dungeon crawling in 15mm making the job of the Dungeon Master a little easier as they don't have to cart around as many miniatures!
Backers can get themselves a nice selection of different monsters, creatures, warriors and even some leaders too. I love the sculpting we're seeing here in particular from Ben Siens, capturing a lot of character within these creations even in this smaller scale.
I am very tempted to dive into this Kickstarter and pick up some of the Treemen and Bearmen. I have a thing about making a full-on werebear army to use on the tabletop.
Are you tempted to dive into this Kickstarter yourself?
