Spellcrow Collect Their Characters Into Cabals
May 13, 2019 by brennon
Spellcrow has collected their range of characters into a range of boxes, focused around a particular theme.
Whilst you could use these miniatures in any game, these sets and the way they've been put together would be great for someone looking to get into Spellcrow's own world of Umbra Turris.
I love the amount of thought that went into these models, both new and old, giving them oodles of character. They have a touch of the Rackham about them as well which I'm sure that a lot of people will be happy about.
I like that the warband collections aren't all focused around one races either. Instead, they have collected them around a theme as stated above which means that your warband is always going to look diverse!
These fellows, the Emissaries of Tykatrion, are the only warband which focuses in on one particular race. But hey, they are Dwarves and they do tend to stick to their own!
One of my favourite sets from their collection is this one for the City Mercenaries. You could imagine playing through a skirmish game with these fellows, each player taking on the role of one character, as they deal with all sorts of weird goings-on.
I think this is a great way to not only get you excited about the wider range that Spellcrow has to offer but also provides you with inspiration for your next gaming project.
Which set caught your eye?

Those are really good.
Man, they seem to really love that cloak and dagger orc… he’s in two sets XD
But I really love the “Way Watchers” goblin/small orc with that huuuuge feather 8)
Great minis but replicating some models in multiple sets seems a bit lazy. I’d rather see six unique minis per set. Nonetheless, the city mercenaries are probably my favourite set.
