Spartan Games Show Off More Fantastic Models for Planetfall
October 5, 2014 by dracs
Spartan Games' new 10mm game of scifi warfare, Planetfall, is currently up for pre-order, and to get us more excited for what else they have in store down the road, Spartan have taken a couple of snap shots showing off their new minis in action.
All these photos show off the new models with the backdrop of a scifi city, using the modular terrain that Spartan are producing for the game.
While this game is 10mm scale, a lot of these models look pretty big, especially with the Terran Alliance Strike Helix (first image). This, along with the cool backdrop of terrain, makes me hopeful that this will be a truly epic game to see playing out across the tabletop.
Have you pre-ordered Planetfall?

Those are rather impressive.
I think Dropzone Commander are going to have some pretty stiff competition sometime soon.
I agree … IF … Spartan can learn to write rules and do starter sets. Time will tell on that front. Regardless their minis are great to use with other game systems so as long as they keep churning stuff out in the right scales … I’ll be giving them my cash 🙂
Firestorm Armada 2.0 is a great set of rules, and the Battle for Valhalla starter set is pretty impressive for all the resin you get in that box for the price. The Planetfall starter set, Battle for Proteus Prime, looks pretty good, too.
Spartan’s older rules did have several issues, but the stuff they’re doing today is great. I’m a fan.
Spartan, TAKE MY MONIES!!!!!!
The buildings look interesting.

That Terran ‘mech is awesome!
that mech is awesome.. but small! does anyone know some good BIG mechs to paint? Mechs similar to this one in design.. while those from dust tactics are good in design, something like this yellow fellow is way more sbav sbav 😀
I really do hope they put the time into this game and all the games they have released. As I see the need for competitive gaming so underrated by Spartan Games.
Out of curiosity, why do you think they under-rate competitive gaming?
