Get Set For Space In Spelljammer Prequel Supplement
August 9, 2022 by fcostin
Spelljammer is set to be released within the next week, and if you have been tempted by the wacky and zany adventures across the lunacy of space. There's no need to jump the gun and pitch into the core book straight away upon release, there are missions to attend to first.
Spelljammer Academy // D&D Beyond
Wizards of the Coast and D&D Beyond have teamed up to create a four-part free entry into Spelljamer (with D&D Beyond), encouraging players to head back to the books in Spelljammer Academy. Transitioning from your casual run-of-the-mill Dungeons & Dragons fantasy adventure, into a whirlwind of whimsical chaos of space exploration.
There will be a total of four different adventures to enrol into before diving into the Spelljammer core book, if you would like to choose to be immersed slowly. The first, "Spelljammer Academy: Orientation" will help players transition from their usual output of slaughtering goblins after a session of ale slugging, into a whole new direction and universe.
As Wizards of the Coast and D&D Beyond align, the teams will band together to make sure D&D Beyond is stacked up with awesome Spelljammer goods, including previews and bonus content. Including the Spelljammer Academy adventures, working as an unofficial prequel for those who are looking to venture deeper and explore the Astral Sea.
Spelljammer Adventures In Space // Wizards Of The Coast
If you have access to a D&D Beyond account, you will be able to access this introduction for free. All you would need to do is follow the link, and log in to download.
Given the mad change of theme for Dungeons & Dragons, the free supplement works as a fantastic way to transition over characters into a whole new world. Your brute of a Barbarian may be absolutely petrified of space travel, causing him to scream like a little girl!
If you have been tempted by the upcoming release of Spelljammer, but weren't sure if you were keen on committing just yet, be sure to check out D&D Beyond to test the waters with your Orientation to the wonders of space.
Will you be picking up Spelljammer next week?
