Soda Pop Take Some Shrooms in Super Dungeon Explore
July 8, 2014 by dracs
Some fun fungi have sprouted up in Super Dungeon Explore as a result of Soda Pop Miniatures last Kickstarter, bringing us three truly magic mushrooms.
Super Dungeon Explore is overtly inspired by anime style and these ones call to my 90s upbringing and the days of Digimon.
These models are still just early prints, but we can still see that they keep with the smooth, detailed style of Soda Pop's miniatures. In general, I love these. They're completely barmy, and a lot of fun, making excellent fantasy monsters that call back to all the kids anime that I grew up watching.
Will you find these mushrooms growing in your game of Super Dungeon Explore?

Bah! These are no threat. If there’s one thing my decades of playing Super Mario Bros. has taught me, it’s that sentient mushrooms are easily dispatched by a swift hop on the head.
I really love Super Dungeon Explore, but I didn’t have sufficient funds to get in on the kickstarter when it was running, sadly.
Still haven’t got my Relic Knights….
That’s what mushrooms look like when you’re actually on shrooms lol
Those are rather funny looking models. Too bad that they have dropped ball with RK.
remember RK was done under Cool Mini Or Not …
… Sodapop designed the game and all the minis and stuff,
but Cool Mini Or Not handled all the casting, production and shipping fulfillment : /
so I don’t really think Sodapop can be blamed for those areas y’know …
… not sure, but maybe this is why Sodapop decided to split from CMON ?
anyway, now they’ve partnered with Ninja Division 🙂
so I’m sure things will run more smoothly with the Forgotten King kickstarter 😉
The RK minis are great and the minis are great. Only thing that went wrong was the delay in fulfillment caused by massively overextending themselves on the KS. Fulfillment is in progress and it hits US retail tomorrow. All told, ball still secured.
On topic, I think the ‘shrooms are great.
*and the game is great
yeah, hopefully everyone will get all their minis soon 🙂
… as far as I know, after CMON finishes fulfillment on the Relic Knights kickstareter,
then all the rights revert back to Sodapop 🙂
so hopefully that will help smooth things out for distribution in the future 😉
The rights have always been Soda Pop’s but the used to have production and distribution deal with CMoN which they’ve ended. Latest word is that they’ll have distribution hubs across the world so you can order from their online store and not have to be shipped from the US.
yeah, that’s what I mean, the distribution rights revert back 😉
… not sure if they’re using the same factory though.. not my area 😛
