Smok Sculptures Peer At New Gnome Jeweller Bust
July 2, 2019 by brennon
Smok Sculptures has added a new bust into the mix for those that want to stretch their painting skills. Check out their very characterful Gnome Jeweller.
Smok has been working away on some wonderful pieces over the past few years and this Gnome is just another jewel (hah) in the crown. I love the piece, cast in high-quality resin with the clear gem being added into the mix for added effect.
He is right in the middle of peering into the heart of that gem and realising just how much it's worth I'd warrant considering the pipe falling from his lips. You could have a lot of fun with this when painting.
His skin could either be painted pale as if he's always working away in his store or with a ruddy warm glow if you imagine he spends more time in the tavern. Add in some well-worn clothes, and some wispy hair which has greyed with age and you'd have the perfect character to show off on the shelf.
Maybe you could even swap out the clear resin gem with something significantly more precious if you're a collector of precious stones.
What do you make of this happy Gnome?

Very nice.
I know that I couldn’t do it, but what about the light used to examine the gemstone shining through onto his face?
What a fabulous looking gnome bust.
