Some Smashing Stuff Coming To Guild Ball Season II
June 1, 2015 by brennon
Guild Ball is doing incredibly well and has become very popular now it's finally out there in the market. With that in mind they have previewed two of the coming characters for Season II of this Fantasy Football ruckus...
I'm really loving not only the style of this game with its heroic and cartoony style but also the game itself. I've watched a lot of the game being played now and it's really growing on me. I just need to convince some of my gaming group to pick this up with me and give it a go.
Miniature wise Tenderiser above is very funny and it looks like he's just smashed someone into the ground OR he's leaping over a charging foe. Sakana is a lot more relaxed but no less dangerous looking.
Do you play this game?

I got a look at some more S2 sculpts and the rules for some of the new minis yesterday.
@redben, looking good? I know a lot of the new art looks stunning. Anything stand out?
Currently working on my butcher, I do like tenderiser even if its a bit captain caveman.
Yep, all of them at the usual high standard. I saw the rules for the new Butcher captain. Trades in the high damage and durability of Ox for a very nasty effect.
Is that the new female player that has popped up in the art? New Morticians captains art looks amazing
I saw the rules without accompanying art but she would fit so it might be.
Lovely minis, very high standard there… and done in such a way that you can use them for a variety of games, unlike most “sports” miniature games ! I’m very glad that they’re going strong and making more. I kickstarted it, and got plenty of stuff… I plan on using those miniatures for all sorts of things : display, RPGs, other miniature games… and even Guildball, if you can believe that ! 🙂
I passed over the KS on the assumption it would be another Blood Bowl-esque game, which does not float my boat. I’m regretting that decision now.
@elromanozo they are indeed beautiful, I fear I am not doing them justice but some of the minis almost paint themselves they are an absolute delight.
The game is fantastic which is another massive plus. Hoping to get some pics up next week when I am on leave
I wonder when the game goes retail? I buy it up fast if they have a two player box on the market.
It already is at retail. It launched towards the end of April. There isn’t a two-player starter, but the entire rulebook is online as a PDF and a starter box for each guild is about £22.
