Smart Max Hold Closing Down Sale For SMOG Miniatures!
July 24, 2015 by brennon
The entire of the Smart Max SMOG range is now being discontinued and that means they are having a HUGE closing down sale. At the time of writing this the numbers of models are correct but they might have gone so be quick! Here is just a flavour of the kind of models they had in their range...
This whole range was filled with weird and wonderful creations for a game that never really took off. The scale of the models might have had something to do with it as most of them were 1/35 or 54mm scale. It's quite a daunting scale but it makes for some amazing characters as you can see.
As you can see they really did push the boundaries with their models and each of them is a little work of art. We have a few of the models in the studio somewhere and it might be time to break them out and have a look at painting up a few considering this range is not long for the world.
This is just a smattering of the different models on offer and there are many more to check out on the webstore.
Did you ever get into SMOG?

That’s a shame. I really liked the range though to be fair I never bought any. The scale wasn’t suitable for other games and the boardgame didn’t seem like it was to up much.
My regret is that the boardgame was never properly made… we only had a paper edition, and it should have had more cards, expansions, proper cardoard material and counters in a lovely big box… It had such potential !
However, it was always their plan to stop this range and universe after a certain number of miniatures were produced. Ah, what a waste !
At least we have great minis on sale, and Mauser Earth lives on.
I always loved the art style and even the background of Smog but sadly by being 50 mm ( all are 50mm, at least that’s what i saw in their descriptions ) they were very expensive for a skirmish miniatures game, a single starter was around 120 dollars, i hope they redo this miniatures in 32mm via kickstarter or something. At least the way everyone jump and buy them proves the issue was only the price and not the product itself, i would love to play skirmish at 50mm scale if they weren’t that expensive.
