Skirmish Sangin Gets Small Patrol Scenarios For The Royal Marines
July 10, 2015 by stvitusdancern
One of my favorite modern rulesets Skirmish Sangin from Radio Dishdash Publishing, is getting a new free scenario - rules download for the Royal Marines in Afghanistan.
This supplement is to allow players to field smaller patrol/squad sizes up to ten miniatures total for both players. Now you can take these tough as nails fighters on small foot patrols and see if you can get contact with the enemy. They have also built in a random patrol table, so no two games are alike to keep playability at a high level.
This game has been on my radar for quite some time and I have read the rules many times and cannot wait to build up a sizeable force. We have played some some games with proxy miniatures and I like the rules.
It looks like they might be at Gen Con this year as they are also working on a new game called Skirmish Outbreak and yes there will be zombies which they will be releasing during the convention.
These rulesets - scenario booklets are released quite regularly. just watch their blog for the next release.
Have you played Skirmish Sangin?

I have a feeling that Skirmish Outbreak is the rule system my USMC / US Army moderns and undead horde have been waiting for!
SS is a really good ruleset for small skirmishes.
I am really excited to see a zed crossover.

Totally different to FoF, more detailed in the way it deals with squads, but it still flows faster than looks once you play a few turns. FoF do a zombie add-on. You can also play solo. SS is very well written and after a couple of games we didn’t need the rules – always a plus for any game. Lots of little twists to give it the… Read more »
