Oathsworn Show Off Sci-Fi Characters In New Teaser
October 9, 2017 by brennon
You might know Oathsworn Miniatures for their fantastic anthropomorphic adventurer range, Burrows & Badgers. Well, they also have their sights set on some Sci-Fi goodness as well...
Leading the way we have this Sci-Fi Heroine from their Dark 7 Project. I mean, any woman with an awesome power fist, armour and smoking a cigar has got to be the leader of some ship or crew somewhere right?
Matched against her we also have some painted examples of what's coming down the pipeline (hopefully!).
As you can see the folks at Oathsworn have really gone to town with some strange and quirky looking designs. I particularly like the rock/robot fellow on the left.
Getting stranger and stranger we also have these slithering folks. Snake people in space would certainly be a pretty cool idea and they must be rather good at getting into all those nooks and crannies for engineering work.
What do you think of this collection?

Those are very interesting. The rock/robot and the gas mask guy are my favourites of those shown here. The snake dudes are cool. I hope they expand that into an entire reptile line. If I had to criticize it would be that the air hose on gas mask guy seems a bit thick but I certainly could live with it.
As a big fan of Burrows & Badgers, I’m really looking forward to Dark 7 and seeing what how that works as a game. It’s good to see some different kinds of beasties in a sci-fi setting, but I like that there are now also more relatable human characters in there too. Not that I’ve ever used a power glove… or lost my eye… or smoked a cigar. But, you know, more relatable.
It’s much, much simpler. Like, rules-on-a-sheet-of-A4 simple… but it’s fun. At least, I think it is! 🙂
Simple is good! Simple and fun is even better! 🙂
love their anthropomorphic sculpts. i’m not sure their style works for me in scifi, but that’s just me.
